Dr Michal Boni
Former Minister of Labor and Social Policy. Since 1995 director of the Social Policy Reform Program at the Stefan Batory Foundation. From 1994 until 1996 councillor of the Centrum Commune of the municipal city of Warsaw. In 1996-1997 director and member of the Public Affairs Institute Team. Former consultant of the Third National Investment Fund and the Polish-American Enterprise Fund in the field of employee affairs. Collaborator of Polish and international foundations like CASE Socio-Economic Analyses Centre, International Relations Centre, Polish-American Freedom Foundation, Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna. Representative of Polish employers in the Foundation for Improvement of Life Quality in Dublin. Member of the Scientific Committee for Supporting Community for the Assessment of the National Development Plans and Operational Programs. Key expert cooperating in the elaboration of the National Development Plan for the years 2007-2013.
Professor Wojciech Cellary
Professor Wojciech Cellary teaches at the Technical University of Poznan, Poland. He has been a visiting professor at the following universities in France and Italy: University of Nancy I, University of Nancy II, University of Paris-Sud, University of Paris-Dauphine, University of Genova, and University of Ancona. He has lead numerous industrial projects on the development of hardware and software of computer systems and their applications in telecommunications, the computer industry, the electric power industry, and education. He is a co-author of 3 European patents. He served as a consultant to the Polish Ministries of: Science, Education, Telecommunications, and Regional Development, Polish Parliament and Senate, as well as many research institutes and governmental projects. Since 2003 he has served as an expert to the Polish State Accreditation Committee, and since 2004 he been an expert to the European Commission.
Arne Gundersen
Senior adviser in ABM-utvikling within the Department of Library Development. Previously in the Ministry of Education, Department of Policy Analysis, Lifelong Learning and International Affairs. Masters degree in Library and Information Science. Took part in the preparation of the National Library Report (2006) in Norway, which just recently has been followed up by a White Paper from the Government. Special interest fields include professional development and workplace learning and the use of libraries in lifelong learning. Member of the International team of ABM-utvikling.
Brit Holtebekk
Senior adviser in ABM-utvikling from 2007, international coordinator and leader of the International team. Previously employed in the Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs working with various tasks within the cultural field (libraries, cultural heritage, sami culture, Norwegian language policy etc). From 2000 to 2003 national expert in the European Commission, Directorate-General for Education and Culture (working with the Culture 2000 Programme). Masters degree in comparative literature from the University of Oslo.
Dr Tomasz Makowski
Dr Tomasz Makowski has been director of the Polish National Library in Warsaw since March 2007. Associated with the BN since 1994, he previously served as Deputy Director for Academic Affairs and Head of Special Collections. He heads two separate advisory bodies to the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage: the Digitization Team and the National Library Resources Committee. He is also deputy chair of the Organizing Committee for Zbigniew Herbert Year. He is a member of the Polish National Library Board, the Program Committee of the Polish Book Institute, the Program Committee of the Fryderyk Chopin Institute in Warsaw, the European Commission's Expert Group on Digitization and Digital Preservation, the board of The European Library, the Archive Committee under the Managing Director of the Polish State Archives, the Board of the Polish National Museum in Cracow, the Board of the Adam Mickiewicz Literary Museum in Warsaw, the Board of the Museum of the Łazienki Królewskie [Royal Baths Park] in Warsaw, UNESCO's Memory of the World National Committee and the editorial committee of Polish Libraries Today.
Tone Moseid
Director, Department of Libraries, Norwegian archive, library and museum authority. Responsible for library development within both public and research library sectors. Professional background from the public library sector. Main objectives for 2009 - 2010 to follow up the national policies for the Norwegian library sector, as drawn up in the recent governmental White Paper on Library Development. Active within IFLA, newly elected member of IFLA Governing Board.
Jacek Wojnarowski

Graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology and of postgraduate studies in economic policy of administration and of European funds in the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). In 1990-2000, the Director of the Stefan Batory Foundation, in 2001-2004 the President and Executive Director of the Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe. Member of the Board of Education of the Polish Robert Schuman Foundation, member of the Management Board of the School for Leaders Association, the President of the Society of the Podkowa Leśna Town-Garden Friends. Privately, he is interested in problems of small town’s development, especially historic. He is committed in cooperation between town-gardens in Poland and Europe.
